Maltodextrin

Maltodextrin is a mixture of easily digestible carbohydrates (polysaccharides), obtained from starch (corn, potato, rice, etc.) by partial hydrolysis.

Formula

White or cream powder, highly soluble in water, with neutral or slightly sweetish taste. Easily digested by the body and quickly provides energy.

Application

in sports nutrition — as source of «fast carbohydrates», in baby food — to provide energy and improve texture, in confectionery, sauces, ice cream — as thickener, filler, stabilizer, as carrier for flavors, sweeteners and vitamins.
